DENVER, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Colorado's Carlos Gonzalez extended his hitting streak to 15 games with a three-run home run Tuesday to pace the Rockies to a 4-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds.

Gonzalez, who has 31 hits and 21 RBI in his last 59 at-bats, connected for his 32nd homer of the year in the first inning off Johnny Cueto (12-5).

The win, Colorado's fifth in a row, keeps the Rockies in the playoff hunt. Cincinnati has lost four but remains atop the National League Central, six games ahead of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Miguel Olivo had three hits and an RBI for Colorado.

Jhoulys Chacin (8-9) earned the win with two runs on six hits over six innings, and Huston Street picked up his 16th save.

Johnny Gomes hit a solo home run for Cincinnati and Drew Stubbs drove in two runs with a single in the fourth inning that cut Colorado's lead to 3-2.
